Do we treat God like an Amazon fulfillment center? Are we just tired of waiting on Him to fulfill our expectations? Oftentimes God doesnt fulfill our desires because they are made of us. And not full of Him. Are we basing our desires and wishes around God's plan for us?  The context of Christmas is joy and hope. To rejoice. As it says in Isaiah, look up to the Lord and rejoice in Him. in Hebrew its called prophetic perfect tense. To say rejoice doesn't just mean now; it refers to all the futures in which God will make things right.  Isaiah 54:1, then Galatians and Acts have a connected story, the barren woman always has hope. The hope doesn't always look like what we expected. Fulfillment in life isn't just from having the children you wish for but from being fulfilled in Christ.  Proverbs 13:13 Hope deferred makes the heart sick but a longing fulfilled is the tree of life  Stop looking at what you don't have and rejoice in what He has given you.
