New York City Trip with Liam!

For Liam's 10th birthday he wanted a night in New York City with me. We talked about this trip for months and hemmed and hauled over what to do or where to go. We considered doing a trip to Jamaica to one of the all inclusive resorts before finally settling on a night in New York City together.
We booked the actual trip the week before. We took the Amtrak from Harrisburg to New York City which was extremely convenient. There is a parking lot just under the bridge from the train station which cost only $6 a day!  We booked a hotel on priceline but in the future I will just book with the hotel directly to use my Hilton honors points.
When we got into the city we went to our hotel to drop off our suitcase and we were fortunate enough to be able to check in early we relaxed for a few minutes before we headed off towards times square and then the world trade center memorial.  While we were in times square we went to the tkts window to get Broadway tickets out of discounted price. They were still pretty expensive! But it was well worth it.

When we got to the trade center memorial we took up in the memorial for a few minutes before going into the I forget what it's called obolisk or something else with a funny name? Liam and I were both hungry so we need to find lunch which we did and then we went to get tickets for the one world trade center observatory. The observatory is expensive but it is worth every penny! The views were incredible and we even were able to get coffee and treats up at the top.
After the observatory we headed back towards  Our hotel to relax for a little bit. While we were at the hotel Liam looked out the window and asked a question is that a carnival ship? We went to Google maps and it turns out that yes it was indeed a carnival ship the New York City port was on the same street as we were.
Liam and I had no choice but to head out towards the cruise ship to take a look! It was the carnival magic, headed towards Bermuda.
Next up was dinner at McDonald's on times square and then the Broadway show Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I was super excited to learn that you can actually order food and have it delivered to your seat during intermission!  The show was absolutely phenomenal and the special effects were great.
After the show Liam and I went back into times square and got Kristie kreme  donuts before going to bed.
The next day we woke up early to head towards The Today Show when I say early we actually kind of slept in for us because we woke up at 6:15! We got to The Today Show at about 6:55 and we're able to see the preparations for the show and wave through the window to Hoda Kotb.   Then it was time to enter the plaza and so we had to find the entrance and go through the security check in line so we could get in. There was a concert on the plaza on that day it was Jon Batiste. I was not familiar with but him but the concert made the experience of watching the show all the more lively.

My meds, my experience and my faith 💗

I'm not the most eloquent writer but I want to record my experiences and the meds I am taking.  Meds and supplements to prevent a first time loss *Vitamin D due to my deficiency and like between low D and miscarriage * NO caffeine due to limited studies that show some people with caffeine sensitivity are prone to unexplained loss  *Magnesium, by drinking Natural Calm, every morning - recommended by Dr. Sheri Hamersley  *Progesterone 200 mg orally. I doubled up until 8 1/2 weeks to 400mg.  *Lovenox 40 mg every night due to recommendation from Dr Hamersley *Vitafol OB prenatal with iron added  *** Vitamin B6 and Unisom. I started this at around 8 weeks because of nausea.  Meds I changed and added because of sub-chorionic hemorrhage *After every major bleed I take extra progesterone in the morning.  * I had stopped the B6 at 13 weeks when my nausea subsided. I resumed it at 19 weeks to get to help my SCH heal  *I take additional magnesium to calm my ...

Celebrating 32 Weeks... with a DVT!!

Well this week has been ... Interesting. On Monday I noticed my arm hurt at my previous IV site. It was sore and also intensely painful right at the IV site. So I just waited it out and observed... Overnight the pain woke me up twice! In the morning I knew I had to be seen. I went to urgent care. They ordered an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed too blood clots--one in my brachial vein and one in my subclavian vein (a DVT!).  They had me go to the ER. So I went to Frederick. They sent me home with increased dosages of Lovenox, 80 mg twice a day.  Starting the next day I had groin pain. And by Thursday I was dizzy. Soooo back to urgent care I went. They did an ultrasound and a CT scan and blood test. I'm anemic, but nothing was wrong. Whew! All I needed to do was 20 minutes on the monitor with baby before I left. Well... I started having contractions. They're my usual evening contractions but they alarmed the midwife enough that she wanted to keep me and give me more IV fluids....
